天宝往事(Tianbao Village in Retrospect)

《天宝往事》是江西省委宣传部、江西省文联2013年度文学精品工程重点图书，获江西省优秀长篇小说征文第一名，是江西省委宣传部推荐参评中宣部第十三届“五个一”工程奖作品。《天宝往事》截取清末国家衰败那个历史断面，以宜丰天宝这个村庄的生活为蓝本，以600年江右名家——刘氏家族在衰败中图强而自发探索复兴之路为主线，通过主人公刘开柏的科举之路的失败、刘家玉的宦海沉浮的屈辱，以及刘开柏妻子李秀珠（大家闺秀）自觉力排众议愤然打破刘家不商的族规，经营土纸一呼百应而振兴民族工业，把宜丰土纸做遍全中国、做到南洋的传奇故事，展示了江右刘氏家族的爱国主义情怀。（It is a key publication of the Literature Masterpiece Project in 2013 co-organized by the Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department, first-place winner of Jiangxi’s Call for Excellent Novels and was nominated for the 13th Best Works Award set up by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. The novel is a cross-section of the waning Qing dynasty. Set in Tianbao Village in Yifeng, it focuses on how the Liu family struggle to revive in the past 600 hundred years, chronicling the defeat of the protagonist Liu Kaibai in the imperial examination, the vicissitude and humiliation the family has suffered in officialdom, and how Liu’s wife Li Xiuzhu (a well-born lady) defies oppositions and breaks the family rule to build a business in the national industry, selling Yifeng crude paper to all parts of China and even to Southeast Asia, and showcasing the patriotic spirit of Liu family in Jiangxi Province. )
