小城 (Small Town)

《小城》叙述第一次世界大战前发生在意大利一小城的故事：一歌剧团应该城律师贝洛蒂之邀，时隔48年后第一次来访演出，这让全城居民翘首以待，急盼观看，但此事进展却不如人意，就演出问题产生了截然不同的意见：代表民主势力的律师一派主张演出，认为它会给小城带来生气和商机；代表守旧势力的唐·塔代奥神父一派则反对演出，认为它会败坏城市的风气和道德。之后也的确发生了一些意想不到的情况：小城的男性公民追求剧团的女歌唱家，剧团里的男高音则对全城最漂亮的姑娘一见钟情，最主要的是小城平时隐藏着的矛盾借此时机都充分暴露了出来......但最后对立的两派在贝洛蒂的努力下还是达成和解，演出取得了圆满成功，几天后剧团也顺利地离开了小城。(Small Town narrates the story of a small town in Italy before the First World War: invited by Bellotti, the lawyer of this town, an opera troupe conduct the show after 48 years for the first time which made the residents eagerly awaited and impatient. But the progress was not satisfactory, and the different views on the performance issues showed: the lawyers representing the democratic forces advocated for performance with the belief that it will bring the town with vitality and business opportunities; on behalf of the conservative forces, Tang Taidaiao faction opposed the show with the thought that it will undermine the city's atmosphere and morality. Later, there were some unexpected situations happening: male citizens from this small town showed his affection to the female singer, the tenor from the troupe fell in love with city's most beautiful girl at first sight and the most important part was that the hidden contradictions in the small town were fully exposed out......but in the end the two opposing forces reach a reconciliation with Belotti's efforts and the performance has been a complete success, a few days later the troupe has also successfully left the town.)
