A girl from an Italian provincial town goes to visit her aunt in the fashionable Milan and, over the course of a weekend, she finds that the city's economy has turned the population into something really scary.
The turbo-economy of growth rates, the overproduction of futility and planned obsolescence doesn't allow poverty, although they are the underlying assumption. In this "fantaeconomic" scenario the near-future city of Milan is governed by a system of "bankarchy" (bank ruling all society) and split into many gated communities which are administered by small local banks and credit institutions.
