随着我国经济的迅猛发展和社会的不断进步，国家对高级专门人才的需求也越来越盛，我国的高等教育事业获得了长足发展，高等教育体制改革取得令人瞩目的成绩，初步形成了适应国民经济建设和社会发展需要的多种层次、多种形式、学科门类基本齐全的社会主义高等教育体系，为社会主义现代化建设培养了大批高级专门人才，在国家经济建设、科技进步和社会发展中发挥了重要作用。在我国逐渐完善的高等教育体系中，独立学院作为一种新兴的高等教育办学体制，逐渐成为当前和今后一个时期内我国高等教育发展的重要组成部分，也是我国高等教育体制改革的成果之一和一大亮点。
随着独立学院的异军突起与高校的扩招，教育受众产生了极大变化，高等教育逐渐从精英教育转向大众普及教育。因此，传统的高校教学方式已无法适应当今高等教育的要求。2014年以来，所出台的一系列高校转型发展的重要文件，都表明了新形势下要做好高校尤其是独立学院的教学工作是目前亟须解决的课题之一。独立学院的办学定位与一般高校不同，主要着重于培养高素质的应用型人才，为社会输送理论知识与实践操作俱全的复合型人才。因此，独立学院的教师较之于一般高校有着更高的要求，其中双师型教师更是重中之重，"双师型"教师队伍的盛衰将直接决定该学院的教学质量以及发展趋势。
本文在回顾中国新闻教育发展历程的基础上，着眼于中国新闻高等教育的一个特殊分支，即独立学院新闻专业的转型发展思路的探讨。（With the rapid development of China's economic and social progress, national demand for senior specialized talents is increasing, and the cause of our country higher education developing quickly. It has cultivated a large number of advanced talents in national economic construction, scientific and technological progress and social development and played an important role in the socialist modernization construction.In the system of higher education in our country which is gradually perfecting, the independent college as a new system of higher education schools has slowly become the current and future a period of time is an important part of higher education development in our country, is also one of the results of the higher education system reform and a major bright spot.
With the emergence of independent colleges and the expansion of colleges and universities, the demography of receivers of education have greatly changed, and education gradually shifted from elite education to public popularization education.Therefore, traditional college teaching methods have been unable to meet the requirements of education today.Since 2014, a series of important documents on transition and development in colleges and universities that have been issued show that under the new situation it is urgent to ensure the quality of colleges especially independent college at present.The orientation of independent colleges and universities is different from that of general universities. It mainly focuses on the cultivation of high quality application-oriented talents, and the comprehensive talents of theoretical knowledge and practical operation of the society.Independent college teachers, therefore, compared with those in the general colleges and universities have to meet a higher standard. The "double type" teachers, which are more important, will directly decide the teaching quality as well as the development trend of the college.
On the basis of reviewing the development history of journalism education in China, this paper focuses on a special branch of Chinese journalism higher education, namely, the discussion on the transformation and development of journalism education in independent colleges.）
